CABI的“农业和自然资源数据库”— CAB ABSTRACTS 通过传播、应用和研究农业和生物科学,以信息产品支持农业、林业、人类健康、自然资源管理等领域,为人类健康服务。目前,加入该组织的成员国达41个,中国于1995年8月正式成为CABI成员国。目前，CABI出版编辑和维护着两个大型数据库：农业和自然资源数据库（CAB ABSTRACTS）和人类健康与营养数据库（GLOBAL HEALTH），而它的许多产品都是从这两个数据库衍生而成。FAO的“国际农业科技情报系统”— AGRISAGRIS光盘数据库是由AGRIS协调中心和联合国粮农组织（FAO）所属的国际农业科技情报系统编辑的书目数据库。该数据库涉及的学科范围包括农业、林业、畜牧业、渔业、食品科学、地球科学、环境科学、农业工程、人口、经济、法律、教育等。其文献来源于146个AGRIS国家中心及22个国际组织提供的期刊论文、科技报告、会议文献，同时也收录少量的专利、技术标准等。AGRIS光盘数据库收录了1975 以来的有关文献，累计文献量达320余万条，每年新增记录13万条左右。1979年起部分数据提供了文摘，文摘语种可能是英文，也可能为西班牙语、法语或其他西文语种。1986年起，DE字段包含了AGRIS主题词中的英文、法文和西班牙文主题词。所以，AGRIS中不仅提供了英文主题词，同时还提供有西班牙语、法语等多语种主题词，这为利用非英语检索提供了检索途径。AGRIS对应的印刷本是《农业索引》（Agrindex）NAL的“农业联机检索数据库”— AGRICOLAAGRICOLA数据库是由美国农业图书馆(NAL)、食品与营养信息中心（FNIC）、美国农业经济文献中心（AAEDC）等机构联合编辑的数据库。该数据库除光盘外，还可以通过DIALOG和BRS等联机系统检索该数据库文献。AGRICOLA对应的印刷本是美国《农业文献题录》（Bibliography of Agriculture，简称 B of A），创刊于1942年，月刊。该数据库主题范围包括农、林、牧、水产、兽医、园艺、土壤等整个农业科学领域及动物、植物、微生物、昆虫、生态等生命基础科学及环境科学、食品科学。引用文献类型除期刊论文等连续出版物之外，还包括专著、学位论文、计算机软件、技术报告、专利、声像资料等。该数据库收录了1970年以来的文献，累计文献量达380余万条，每年新增记录11万条左右。该数据库以题录为主，正在向全文数据库的方向发展。中国国家农业科学数据共享中心该中心建设是以满足国家和社会对农业科学数据共享服务需求为目的，立足于农业部门，以数据源单位为主体，以数据中心为依托，通过集成、整合、引进、交换等方式汇集国内外农业科技数据资源，并进行规范化加工处理，分类存储，最终形成覆盖全国，联结世界，可提供快速共享服务的网络体系，并采取边建设，边完善，边服务的原则逐步扩大建设范围和共享服务范围。中国农技网第三方农业技术平台借鉴发达国家的农业管理经验，以农业相关领域的软件应用开发为先导，把互联网多媒体技术导入农业，引领中国农业战略流程的大变革。在立足国家骨干网构建的覆盖全国的分布式流媒体服务器的基础上，加强信息资源整合，强化农业信息技术顶层设计，围绕农技普及和农产品流通，运用多人互动视频，梳理农业“教育、服务、流通”体系，实现农业“产、供、销、管”的模式创新，让农业专家和种养大户面对面交流，让供应者和消费者面对面沟通。
