燃烧学顶级期刊

王海教授主持了包括4项美国国家自然科学基金项目、5项美国能源部（DOE）项目，6项美国空军（AFOSR）项目和1项美国航空航天局（NASA）项目在内的30多项研究课题。在碳烟形成机理、纳米材料燃烧合成、纳米粒子输运理论等许多领域做出了开创性的学术贡献，在Science，Progress in Energy and Combustion Science，Physical Review Letters，Journal of Physical Chemistry A，Physical Review E，Combustion and Flame，Proceedings of the Combustion Institute 等国际顶级学术刊物和会议上发表论文100多篇。论文已被SCI他引2630多次，单篇论文被引用360多次，是燃烧领域历史上引用率最高的论文之一（Top 4）。1999年获美国自然科学基金委员会CAREER Award， 2006年获得第31届国际燃烧会议杰出论文奖，2009年获燃烧领域顶级学术刊物Combustion and Flame的“2005－2008年度最高引用率奖”。
